At Under One Roof, our Education and Training Officers are a crucial part of our small team. We are very pleased to announce that we have recruited a new Education and Training Officer, Katharina Bandmann.

She replaces Jacqueline Omoniyi, who left Under One Roof in April after four years of dedicated service. Jacqueline has gone on to work for Share, a learning and development company for the housing and property sector.  

Katharina, who has an MSc in Housing Studies from Stirling University, and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing, brings a broad range of experiences to the role of Education and Training Officer. She has worked in the social and private rented housing sectors, as well as in other information and advice provision roles. Most recently, she coordinated the first Community Led Housing Alliance in Scotland.

Her experience in working to improve housing in Scotland will be an excellent asset to our charity and those flat owners and housing professionals who seek information about how to manage repairs and maintenance in their tenement buildings.  

In addition, her experience of co-ordinating a Community Led Housing Alliance will be an asset to us as we advocate for new tenement legislation in the form of mandatory owners’ associations, building reserve funds, and five-year inspections.”
