Join us on Tuesday 19th November for our lecture on retrofit and tenements, as part of Aberdeen City Heritage Trust’s annual Maintenance Week.
Maintenance Week is an annual opportunity to take stock and think about the needs of traditional buildings. At a time of high fuel prices and construction costs, it has never been more important to ensure that buildings are performing at their very best.
At this lecture, Historic Environment Scotland’s Lila Angelaka will discuss how to go about making traditional property more thermally efficient. She will be joined by Under One Roof CEO Mike Heffron, who will explore what a tenement is, who is responsible for repairs, how to go about carrying out repairs, zero carbon heating and progress towards legislation requiring tenements to have Resident Associations and Building Reserve Funds.
