The Board of Trustees meets approximately quarterly or as required. All the members give their time for free.
Under One Roof’s Constitution provides for up to 12 Trustees. We currently have six appointed. We are actively working to identify the gaps in our representation and skills to manage a new charity and will recruit more Trustees once we have completed an initial Strategic Review and Trustee Skills Audit.
Jim Hayton – Chair of the Board of Trustees
Jim has extensive experience of working in local authority housing departments and is currently co-ordinator of Scotland’s Housing Network which is a forum of private sector housing officials.
Tony Cain – Trustee
Tony currently manages the Association of Local Authority Chief Housing Officers. He has extensive experience of working with local authorities and was a member of the Housing Improvement Task Force that was set up by the Scottish Government in 2000 to undertake a comprehensive review of housing policy as it relates to the condition of private sector housing in Scotland.
Alison McDiarmid – Trustee
Alison first came to housing via Your Place, the factoring arm of the Wheatley Group. She is currently Chief Executive of the Property Managers Association Scotland.
Jocelyn Cunliffe – Trustee
Jocelyn is a conservation architect and is chair of the Royal Incorporation of Architects (RIAS) Conservation Committee.
Euan Leitch – Trustee
Euan is CEO of Scotland’s Regeneration Forum, SURF. He is formerly the Director of the Built Environment Forum Scotland and in this capacity provided secretariat services to the Scottish Parliamentary Working Group on Tenement Maintenance.
Professor Andrew Steven – Trustee
Andrew is based at the University of Edinburgh School of Law. He served two terms as a Scottish Law Commissioner where he worked on property law reform. He was also a member of the Scottish Parliamentary Working Group on Tenement Maintenance.
Paul Thom – Trustee
Paul is the Technical Director of Changeworks, a leading environmental charity in Scotland focused on delivering solutions for low-carbon living.
