Established to help sailors in need, Trinity House grew to play a key role in the development of the port and has proudly stood in Leith's Kirkgate since at least 1555. The present building was the Port of Leith headquarters of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters for nearly 200 years. Today, it houses a collection of nautical artefacts, paintings and curiosities.
